This knowledge fundamentally changes the strength of asana practice.

                         Module 3
         Western physiology and anatomy

Western Physiology and Anatomy for Yoga Practice refers to the study of the physiological systems and anatomical structures of the human body from a Western scientific perspective, especially as they relate to the practice of yoga.

This includes understanding the functions and interactions of the various body systems such as the musculoskeletal system, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, nervous system and others.

It involves the study of the structure and function of muscles, bones, joints, organs, and other components of the body relevant to the practice of yoga.

                             Module-2

Learning and practicing basic yoga postures (asanas)

  • Learning and practicing basic yoga asanas (postures).

  • Proper alignment and adjustments for different body types

  • Sequencing of asanas for different levels and intentions

  • Incorporation of assistive devices and modifications for a safe and effective practice

  • This module covers basic yoga asana sequences, counterposes, stretches, abduction and adduction.

  • Practice duration, breathing, age restrictions.

  • Right side and left side

  • Mindfulness, sensory awareness

  • Right side and left side

  • Mindfulness, sensory perception

  • Contraindications, termination of the asana

 Yoga Alliance Certification - 500 hours

 

500 Hours Course includes practice: 150 hours of practical sessions including advanced asanas, pranayama, shat kriyas (purification techniques), meditation practice, Ayurvedic principles and individual practice of Ayurvedic yoga and nutrition. It also includes self-training, lesson planning and teaching.

The program is divided into 10 modules that include western anatomy (module details are given in the program, please check). It includes meditation practice, Ayurvedic principles, individual practice of Ayurvedic yoga, study of yoga sutras and exploration of different styles of yoga. It also emphasizes self-training, lesson planning, and teaching.

Prerequisites: The program is open to individuals who practice yoga or another fitness program and are physically fit. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Alternatively, individuals who have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training with Yoga Alliance certification may enroll directly in the 300-hour program.

Scope of the Program: Participants gain a basic to advanced understanding of the concept of yoga and how it differs from other fitness programs. They delve into the advanced philosophy of yoga, study western anatomy and physiology (required for the program), and develop advanced lesson plans for teaching students. In addition, participants gain advanced knowledge in understanding requirements and body types.

Program outcomes include:
Teaching Ability: Upon completion of the program, students will acquire the skills and knowledge to teach advanced yoga classes in a variety of styles. This includes meditation classes and pranayama instruction.

They will be equipped with the tools to effectively guide students through yoga practices and share their understanding of 

 yoga principles.
Holistic Well-Being: The program aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of holistic wellness in yoga. This includes recognizing the mind, body and spirit connection and how yoga can contribute to overall well-being and balance in life.
Business and Professionalism: Students gain insight into the business aspects of yoga and develop professionalism specific to basic level yoga teachers. This may include understanding professional and ethical considerations related to teaching yoga as a profession and building a studio

  • Integration of pranayama and meditation into advanced asana practice

Mudra and Bandhas

    Students at this level will go through various techniques of advanced teaching and can get a lot of teaching practice in the academy. Online and offline,
